diesel tuning
I am planning to build a diesel engine, and am unsure which is the best unit for tuning. I was planning to use a XUD11 and use the pump from a XUD9 because I dont like ecu's. I am good with turbos so would build a hybrid. I have been told that 170 BHP + is possible from the HDI but I dont know too much about them. Any suggestions would be great Thanks Rob

Re: diesel tuning
The 2.1 would be the best place to start as the yanks say, ain't no replacement for displacement. The 2.1 is 110bhp as standard, and is easily remappable to 140bhp, that's before you start on an uprated intercooler, better turbo, etc, etc. Personally, I'm just gonna get my 2.1 remapped and leave it at that. No point messing about with the fuel consumption and reliability when I do an 80 mile round commute everyday.
