Wishbones and wheel bearing

Post by jv6cdx »

Had the 406 Estate on the ramps, today.

First, there is a HUGE amount of play in the ns front wheel, when you push the wheel toward the back of the car, you can see the rear wishbone bush move a mile!

What are they like to change - any tips?

Also , there is a lot of play in the NS rear wheel. Can't see anything move when the wheel is wobbled - so guessing it's a bearing? What is that job like to do?

Thanks in advance - bloody pugs :cheesy:

Don't have any experience with the bushes, but the rear bearing, you have to buy the whole hub assembly - make sure you get the correct amount of teeth on the ABS ring if your car has ABS fitted.
Rear hub I didn't do myself, but my mate who is a mechanic changed 2 in 40 minutes.
