yes mate, i'm sure i can. the air goes colder, even though i have the temp gauge set at 30 degrees
i must of been hearing things

i removed the centre of the dash, and found the reason why the car was blowing cold air.

as mentioned previously, there must be a little motor that opens the direction flap. i found the wiring, but looks like the the motor has been removed :(

i now need to do some modifying so i can manually open and close the direction flap.

still unsure why my coolant is still rusty coloured, even though i've flushed the system 3 times :x

anyone recommend a good cleaning additive to try?

thanks

If someone has removed the motor I guess the gears are stripped, but this usually only happens on the recirc flap. May be worth grabbing one from a scrappy?
Not sure about the coolant, unless someone has run it with tap water and no antifreeze in the past and it's gummed up with corrosion :frown:

Actually thinking about it, I wonder whether you could put a central heating flush through the system?

Alternatively use the old red antifreeze and worry no more!
