XUD11 firing order

Firstly I'll have to apologise for intruding on here to ask only one question (at least only one question at this stage); but I've hit a wall and don't know where else to find this information.

I've fitted a 2.1TD engine from a 406 to a 306, and I've used the Bosch injector pump and injectors from the XUD9 it replaced.

I've got to the stage of testing her, and it's a complete non-runner. Compression etc sounds healthy, glow plugs are doing a normal cycle, fuel system is primed, but no starting.

It looks like a definite fuel delivery problem, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the firing order is on the XUD11? If it's different from the 306's XUD9 I'll have to do some injector pipe bending, otherwise I'll have to carry on troubleshooting elsewhere.

Try doing a search as there was a member on here who swapped the Lucas pump across to the Bosch pump. Have a look at his thread if you can find it as I'm sure the answer you're after will be in there.

Turns out it is the same, it just hadn't run for a while and needed a lot of cranking first.

I couldn't imagine them being different but Haynes doesn't mention firing orders at all (don't mess with things you don't understand?). No problem with asking anyway, glad you got it sorted
