grinding front brakes
hi... grinding & knocking from f/o/side brake, can feel it through pedal only @ very slow speed. replaced new discs and pads all round, slightly better but still there!!! could it be abs rings......

Hi there, welcome. Perhaps you could pull the ABS fuse, take it for a (short and careful) drive and see if it still does it.

I can't remember the front caliper setup, is it on sliding pins? I've had a similar fault on the rears in the past and it was the sliders corroded & sticking.

hi . . . thanx 4 that. all pins cleaned up like new. only doing this @ really slow speed when abs is not required, (perfect braking at speed) gonna check reluctor rings. ps, its 03 hdi (90).......

I would jack the car and with the wheel off, spin the hub using a copper pipe over one stud, and get an accomplice to lightly brake, so you can see whats rubbing.
