hdi alternator belt
i replaced my old alt belt 2 months ago ,now it seems very slack ,the adjuster is new ,is there different lengh belts ,if so how do i buy the right one

Yes, there are different lengths.
Assuming you fitted the belt on correctly.....look at the belt, it will have numbers on it such as 6PK 1260 for example, 6PK is the width, 6 slots, 1260 being the length.That may not be the length of your belt, it's just an example.
If you still have the old belt, match up the length, if not, get your seller to correctly match the belt from their info, failing that, you will have to guess how much shorter it should be.
There should only be 2 choices of belt.

from what you are saying ,i must have a long belt on mine ,when i should have a short belt fitted
