HDI Belt Tensioner

Have just had the belt tensioner on my 406 2.0 hdi (aircon) changed and I am certain that there is an improvement in performance.
This is my first venture into pugs and diesels so not sure if it is my imagination or not but it may be of interest to other site members.
The old tensioner was squeaking all the time and on examination after removal the pulley wheel was badly pitted and a tad eccentric.

The improvement in performance is in your imagination probably caused by
it running quietly now
