Hi Alan,

cant help directly with this one but my Bosch HDi 90 runs at 930-950 rpm at tickover, I was initially concerned by this till I found out that this is the right speed for the HDi lump,

if its a bit high have you checked the end of the throttle cable isnt adjusted just a tad too tight?

but TBH it doesnt sound too high, i think it just seems that way sometimes when you have had other diesels that idle much lower. Is it really 1000 rpm or just under? just under i would say you dont have much to worry about a 1000 rpm then check your throttle cable and wait for somebody else who knows what they are talking about to post up
