hi does anyone know how to adjust the tickover on a d9 02 hdi 90 with siemens, it is always arround 1000 where all my other diesels have run about 750,

Hi Alan,
cant help directly with this one but my Bosch HDi 90 runs at 930-950 rpm at tickover, I was initially concerned by this till I found out that this is the right speed for the HDi lump,
if its a bit high have you checked the end of the throttle cable isnt adjusted just a tad too tight?
but TBH it doesnt sound too high, i think it just seems that way sometimes when you have had other diesels that idle much lower. Is it really 1000 rpm or just under? just under i would say you dont have much to worry about a 1000 rpm then check your throttle cable and wait for somebody else who knows what they are talking about to post up
