Hammerman ... who did the remap for you?
I`ve been mulling over getting my 110 HDi done? I`m thinking of going with the Derv doctor near Derby but its a bit of a trek from London where I`m based :?

A bloke off Ebay just starting up,but had excellent feedback about the remaps from other users. He was in Wolverhampton,Birmingham, about an hour away from me.It cost £175.
I also had my previous Xantia 1.9TD boosted to 112bhp,& did 70k miles in that with no probs, selling it with 175k miles on.That was done by Vanaaken Developments, based in Bracknell, which is nearer for you.But that was twice the money than the 406 cost,& that was in 2001!!!
It really does pay to shop around for a remap. The cost can be quite different,& the results can vairey(?)
But as long as you keep the basic service & maintainace up together,it should`nt wear the engine out.Of course, clutch wear can increase, but thats par the course.
Alot of car makers offer remaps now on new cars.Ford with the RS Focus, with Mountune,Vauxhall used to offer the Astra 150bhp 1.9 TD boosted to 200 bhp with 888 tuner. And most Japanese pick ups can come with remaps for extra power for £££`s. :)
