Re: Clutch on 406 V6
That's all I get after all that investigumalatingtion?
Each engine had different pipework of course, but I thought that was the least of the problems so didn't bother mentioning it. It'd probably be cheaper to have some made up, rather than get ripped off by Pug again, or rescue it from a donor car in the breaker's.

Wow..some real technical stuff there! I said I would update you, so here goes..took it to Peugeot who looked at it for an hour and were certain the clutch needed replacing. They said they had checked the slave cylinder for leaks and all was perfect. Clutch parts similar to cost of Master Cylinder (when you could have bought one), but most of the cost was going to be LABOUR. To get to the clutch on the V6 the gearbox has to be lifted apparently which means a total of 6 hours. Told them to do it and my beautiful V6 is running like a dream once more. The whole thing, apart from worry, has cost an arm and a leg but with that car which has cost me nothing over the years, it was worth it. Thank goodness I haven't had to trawl around salvage yards for a Master Cylinder!
Many thanks to you all for the help and advice, it was much appreciated.

Re: Clutch on 406 V6
WOOHOO!! That's a relief!
If you think 6 hours is bad, it's something like 9 for an HDi...

My D8 clutch hydraulic system is out. My car is a LHD. Does any know if a RHD system can fit into a LHD and vice versa ?
