I do appreciate that when they're working, you have all the benefits - power, economy, smoothness etc. It's just when they break down - at least from what I've read around these parts - you need Stephen Hawking to coax the electrickery back to life

I don't think the HDi is too scary. I had issues with mine but they never stopped the thing running and that's what's important.

We keep seeing folks on here with older D8 diesels that won't even fire up due to stop solenoids, dodgy immobilisers, funny keys and ignitions.......

The main problems with a HDi are mechanical - the clutch and the engine mounts.

went to install the boost controller today followed the guys instructions about bypassing the electronic valve with the controller in its only boosting at 0.3 but without it its boosting at 0.9
