Very good guide, been using it while doing the belt on mine. Taken about 6 hours or so to get to where I am, but shouldn't take that much longer to get it finished and turn it over. When I got the belt done at the garage last time, the book time said 6 hours, but it ended up taking them about double that as there were a few other bits and pieces to replace too.

Thanks for the write up, far more relevant than mr Haynes miserable offering! im about half way through doing mine, and I have to say its the most pisspoor designed engine when it comes to access ive ever come across, the only thing that has gone without a hitch was Jaspers crank bolt removal technique, piece of cake!
I wont be rushing to buy another peugeot if this is anything to go by, the last car I stripped and rebuilt the motor on was my Jag V8 and that was a walk in the park compared to this!

The 1.9 engine is a doddle to work on, there just isn't enough space to get your hands around the 2.1 block.
