Yeah, mine was remapped by the Derv Doctor - nice power gains! Took him half a day to reprogram it though.

Whatever you do DON'T USE THE FILES THAT COME WITH THE GALLETTO CABLES.
THEY'RE GENERIC sh*t AND PROBABLY WILL f*ck UR CAR UP. "hdi-tuning" take YOUR map and tune it individually for YOUR car. and if it needs tweaking co's o any probs he'll tweak it
And all this for only £60 plus say £20 for the galletto. It uses a simple program which comes with the cables on disc, that does it all virtually automatically. Anyway I'll get back to u guys tomorrow and let ya's know how I get on.

Re: just got my remap!!!

Post by martint »

Well guys, I'm just back in the house.
What can I say-I remapped my (90) this morning & then took it for a run.
WOW!!! What a difference. Its still not to great in 1st gear cos 1st gear on 406's are crap anyway,BUT...Every other gear pulls like a train!!!! Thought my mpg was a bit worse,so reset everything and 2hrs of driving about around town its back to 48mpg (It was at 44/45 i think cos o the cold weather).well,i took it onto m/way for couple miles it went upto 53mpg.wouldve went higher but i had to get back home.
Guys, get your 90bhp's remapped. If your interested, its HDI-tuning that did mines. buy yourself a galletto tool £22,and he'll do a remap for you and send it back by email, for £60.
If all stays the same I'll be well happy

I too used the galletto cable and hdi-tuning for my remap. definitely worth the money.

I went for the stage 1 "125bhp" map for my 90. It says on the website you can do a stage 2 "150" if you have an intercooler and boost controller.
After driving with my stage 1 map im seriously tempted by this stage 2!

Does anyone know how easy it is to fit an intercooler and boost controller to a 90? I'm guessing it would need a boost gauge too so I can see what the boost is doing?

Just read this and emailed Steve at Hdi-tuning.co.uk, he replied promptly to say that he doesn't do Siemens,
Not enough around apparently.
Anyone remapped a Siemens 90?

I think a few people have asked around before & got the same response over remapping a Siemens system - last guy went for one of those 'tuning boxes' that tells the ecu fibs about the fuel pressure and/or air flow.

Love the sig. BTW, but to be 'fully pimped', you need a dog guard, load liner & roof-top box. (I've got them all bar the final insult).
