Maybe whoever thought it would be a good idea not to loose all the brake fluid if the pipe to the clutch slave cylinder lets go......

Perhaps the question should be, 'Which parsimonious Peugeot person decided one hydraulic system was OK?'

graunch? you mean a bit of roughness on the pedal travel? Probably just grit or muck or something on the pedal hinge
