I have just had the MAF (sensor after the air filter) off to look at and found that inside on one side there is a grid with 3 bars of differing thickness and opposite is a single flattened to a point loop.
The thinnest of these bars is broken. Could that be a problem? I have no codes come up. :frown:
What do those bars do?

I have read that the unit can be unplugged and that performance is better if the unit is faulty. :?

Anyway after cleaning it there is an improved response to the throttle. I will know more tomorrow night I am off on a 400 mile round trip in the morning, motorway and urban, so I will see. :)
