Brilliant result there Neil. 8)

You certainly stuck at it, a well deserved victory at last.

You should be able to run the fan from an actuator test via PP2000. It may well be OK, they are seldom needed, (mine barely ran in 2000 miles round France & Spain last summer).

Thanks Doggy :cheesy:

It became a matter of stubborn pride in the end!! The tax is up the end of the month an that was gonna be my quitting point. Got some nasty looking injectors out of it which I gave a bit of a clean with the wife's toothbrush, maybe that was the extra little oomph it needed???

OH NO!!!!!!
Had a little scare before guys.

Car was running ok then cut out all of a sudden!!! Lucky I was right outside the house....
Planet threw up this fault, changed the regulator off mmy old pump and she started up again....thankfullly!!!

Seemed to be running a little bit lumpy so I have included a couple of links to parameter live data readings.

Can anyone shed any light on what a good reading is please as I dont know what values I should be getting????

Car running again so i am happy....

I ran an actuator test on the high speed fan relay today and although I could hear the relay clicking, the fan was not coming on. Does that indicate a faulty fan motor???

NB: I think she noticed about the toothbrush and swapped with mine as i managed to get 48mpg out of my tongue today :cheesy:

The injected quantity readings will be all over the place at idle, but as soon as you put some revs on they should all snap into line at the same value.

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

Can't say for certain as I've never monitored a 110, but the data all look good with two possible exceptions:
1). The measured air flow looks high, mine is more like 300 on tickover, IIRC
2). The difference between turbo target and actual pressures seems higher than I recall, (but may well be normal the turbo control system's different on a 110).

Idle's a bit quicker than a 2.2, (about 730 RPM), but I think it's probably OK.

Idling speed looks steady and injector correction values are reasonable so it should run fairly steady, could you have an engine mount problem?

do you have your old pump if so pull the fuel regulator out of it and put it in the one thats fitted and inspect the o-rings on them both that should fix it

everything looks fine just the fault codes

Thanks mate.

I have took my old regulator out and swapped over. Car done about 15 miles an eml came on.
Nursed the car home and scanned it an it was showing this code..

Took the reg out (again) and swapped it for another one i had. Car ran for 20 miles then packed up
while i had the wife an kids in the car!!!! Lucky for me I had the foresight to put planet, some tools
and a spare regulator in the car!!!! Same code as the first time, REGULATOR JAMMED, i must have
put the old one back in??

So now I am on my third regulator and all seems well......welll at least for another 25 miles
Same thing, eml light on, car overrunning when turn the ignition off....Managed to get the car
home but then I had to go back to work so not scanned it yet but i am guessing it throws up the
regulator still active code again????

Any ideas guys, thought we had cracked it but she is coming back to torment me once more :(

f6 should bring up the engine parameters if you could post that up it may give a bit more incite

was the one you originally had in the car the type with a filter?

here is the f6 screenshot madmadmax.
I put a pic of regulator up on my other post.
Pretty sure its not supposed to look like that though???
Could it be the hp pump i sourced faulty???

I'm wondering if the is just another misleading error message, (the regulator still active one).

If someone knows better, please say, but for the engine to run, the ecu has to 'fire' the injectors, regardless of what the regulator does. So is one of the ignition live supplies to the ecu staying on? or is it just a flaky ecu?

(I bring up misleading messages because when a wiring fault removed the lift pump supply from my Xsara HDi 90, the fualt code generated was 'egr open circuit'. (It made a kind of sense, due to the missing supply the ecu didn't 'see' +12V on the egr & turbo s/valve outputs during it's power up self-test)

Not sure if it's a misleading one or not Doggy but the eml comes on an it's only a matter of a few miles before it seems to pack up?

Although since I swapped the regulator I got with the pump it hasn't threw up the regulator jammed code. Still don't think it's right for it to look like that though???

the ecu will fire the injectors if it gets its trigger i.e. the input from the crank sensor so to shut down the engine it removes the fuel presser
