HDI (110) - Low Rattle

I've received various items this morning, and have fitted the replacement MAF sensor, plus new air filter, and have blown the system
through with a can of EGR cleaner.

Car is running fine. Still have the codes P0230 and P0190 recurring.

Car had a brand new (genuine) fuel pump (in-tank) fitted 6 months ago, codes were all-clear then.

Think I may leave this for now, fresh out of ideas.

yes it is the sensor on the rail, there is a yellow plug low on the engine that is plug for an adapter this plug can get water in it so have a look at that

I've just opened the plug, and there was indeed what looked like traces of water.
I've sprayed it all out with WD40, and left to dry.

I've now started up the car, switched off, rechecked the codes.

They're still there, the varmints.

Sorry , I missed your question.

Yes, I've cleared the codes immediately after checking them.

I've owned the car 9 months, and don't know when the fuel filter was last changed.

I've now got a new one, and shall fit in the next few days.

So to recap....

I've now fitted replacement MAF sensor, new air filter, blown the system through with EGR cleaner.
And also, done an oil change + filter.

Been running around recently in the car, seems to be running well.
This evening I thought... "I wonder...."
Went outside , plugged in the code reader...., and ...
The P0230 code had not re-appeared, and there was just
the P0190 code present.

So, I'll fit the fuel filter and take it from there..

I do rather feel that the car hadn't seen a service, or any filter changes for quite a while,
before I bought it.

I fitted the new fuel filter a few days ago.

The code P0190 was still showing up.

I've given the car some sharpish bursts since then, as well as usual driving. Not quite
an Italian tune-up, but brisk.

Checked the codes last night. Clear.

So what seems to have done the job is a replacement of all filters, spray through with EGR cleaner..
A service basically. I may put the old MAF sensor back in, and see what happens. I suspect it is in fact working fine.
