It will be interesting to see what you find with the old turbo off the car, you can have the induction/exhaust system pressurised with white smoke to see where any leaks are, I had it done and we found the EGR leaking.

I was trying to find that gasket on Service Box earlier - it's not on there! Not for a 607 either, how daft. Unless it doesn't have one (of course it bloody does) I even tried searching with the part numbers in the ebay ad you linked but the only ones that came up were for the oil feed/return. Maybe a dealer might have an idea...

Not heard of exhaust manifolds leaking, I suspect there are a few more of the 2.2 over on the coupe club and if you've not seen it there either then it must be no.

Yeah cheers Steve. I've searched high and low on service box but no mention of a gasket and nothing shown on the technical images. If it's gettting replaced it would seem silly not to replace this part.

the only place I've found the gasket is on eBay but its coming from abroad and prob won't get to me before it's due in the garage. It's also pretty pricey for a simple gasket. If you find one anywhere please let me know. I might message the eBay seller for a more specific part number

I think this would be hard to do as it will be getting done by a local garage. I think when joost did his he used some exhaust cement/sealant

Put a bead of silicon sealant round the edge and let it set overnight before putting it together - works a treat.

 You could Ginger but it'd soon burn due to the heat even on a diesel.
Exhaust manifold gaskets are almost always bi or tri metallic compression types these days or sometimes
a foil type wrapped around fibre board, older types could be copper.
