There I've said it.....I love 406's
Do you know what, i was in the same boat as you, i wanted a new car but i was scared of getting something that wasnt as comfy as the 406, and i like the luxuries the exec has. But i think ive managed it ive got everything i wanted in the toy department but my new mota dosent quite match the 6's ride comfort, but im blaming that on the 17's and low pro's she is riding on.
Now, i know its not what you would be looking for because you have bin lids, but my Megane DCI comes pretty close to matching the 406.

Well, my "dream car" of the moment (and has been for the past few years) a black 406 Coupe 2.2 HDi. If I had the money, I wouldn't hestitate buying it, looking after after it etc.... However, the cars are getting old now and I am not sure whether I would buy it (maybe a weekend V6 Coupe but not a diesel). My next car will be a Honda Accord 2.2 CDTi exec. But not until my current 406 falls apart, which doesn't look like it will happen any time soon (barring the occasional annoying fecking rattle here and there :x)
