I guess they've just got mixed up then between .9bar and 9psi.

I personally would like to feel the boost a bit more in the lower gears, but buying a boost controller for £250 seems a bit wrong considering I brought the car for £500

I guess a boost gauge and a bleed valve it'll be then, and just be careful of overboosting. I've heard a way of testing it is to drive down a level road and slowly put your brakes on whilst still maintaining the accelerator and keeping the revs up? As I said, I'm not very good under the bonnet, so I'll have to find someone who knows their stuff to help me out, I'm just too scared that I'll blow something, or write it off or something equally as bad.

Any offers for someone to do this to my car?

That method you are talking of, is from the turbo technics website and yes that is one way of testing, but not needed... just find an empty long stretch of road and weak the bleed valve about quarter of a turn at a time until your reading 12 psi. It's not much of a turn from closed.

It is a fairly simple mod to put in place, but I will offer assistance if you need it or get stuck, I'm sure somewhere between Chester and Derby would surffice.

being a noob, a how to guide would be a nice start if you know of a link or whatnot? Then I can have a go and see where I get. It might be towards the end of the month before I go out and get the bits, budget is a bit restrictive at the mo and I have to get the timing belt changed before I do anything.

Thanks for the offer, would it be alright to give you a shout if and when the time comes? :)
