mins is a 2000 x reg hdi 90 and coverd 298,000miles and still going strong

Mines just ticking up to 84k!
Hopefully will be my third car to go over 100k.
Had a Fiat panda go over 100k. and a saxo upto 110k.

Wow, a sub 100k 406! Dont think Ive ever driven one. How odd is that. Ive driven (not necessarily owned) a total of 7 406's if memory serves

My P-Reg LX had 87K on it, crying shame it drowned

Hi All.

200,000 miles yesterday. Just run in now.

These cars have to be one of the highest milers around? Short of comercial vehicles that is? I have seen several 406's with 300,000ish miles on them.

mines just hit 120,100k 1.9 TD,
still loosing coolant tho, allready fixed the thermostat housing leak but its still getting out sumwere,
after a 230 mile journey i had to top it back up with half a litre

any1 any ides were i could check, rad seems fine no water escaping there

Head gasket or radiator hoses, says I.

170 something here, and still going strong.

You can see plenty of sub-100k 406s on the electric bay, divn'tchae knar?

thanks mate, if its head gasket will water mix with the engine oil ?
oil seems clean no water mixing in there, the car starts 1st time every time,
i hope it isnt the head gasket you have got me worried now

Definitely no leaks from the bottom rad hose? The con-rad push fit usually rusts on the end of the hose causing coolant loss.

Did 508 miles this weekend (254 miles each way) from Aberdeen to Penrith; took the family on a Centerparcs holiday.

So now I've got over 47,500 on the clock. Means I've nearly done 20,000 miles since buying the car in November 2008.
