Actually, I once got a reserve Commer van at work, they'd just replaced the rad but forgot to refil it - by the time I realised and killed it, it was so hot I had to stick it in gear and let the clutch out to stop it running backwards.

The Sierra valves would glow red hot with carbon etc and coupled with carbourettor [spelling?] fuelling and an ignition source they would run on with the keys removed.

We had a 1.6LX at work at the time and that would still be running-on merryily whilst you were in the process of filling up with petrol :lol: that's when we saw it run backwards as we dropped the clutch in 1st to stall it and it shot backward :lol:

Now I'm confused. Is it leaded or unleaded I need to put into a 1.6 Sierra if I wish to remove the Bishops from the House of Lords? :cheesy:
