2.0 Hdi (diesel) cuts out at random.

Changed the relay today and it's cut out twice already
But now the low presure fuel pump is grumbling so I gess that's my problem.
Will be back down the scrappy next week as I now know where 2 HDI's are.
Whats the going rate for a low presure pump from the scrappy ?

A brand new pump is £178.00 + £5.00 in seals and new mounting ring although someone posted on here hey got one from a local Bosch agent for £90.00 (I can imagine the pump crosses over into all sorts of different cars).

I'm not sure you'd be better off with one from a scrappy as they all seem to crap out after about 8 years. Basically if it's grumbling then it's knackered

The car will be going to a new owner soon so I'm not too woried if a scrappy unit doesn't last very long as long as it's cheaper
Going to get me a 406 2.1 TD estate
I've had the pump out allready and it's not too hard on the 806 as you have to drop the tank and have plenty of accsess.
