HOW MANY MILES HAS YOUR PUG COVERED?

Re: HOW MANY MILES HAS YOUR PUG COVERED?
Hi,
Recently signed on as a new member, my 98 2.1 D8 has just turned 303,000 miles.
I noticed one poster suggesting issues displaying higher mileages. Mine was fine up to 299,999. But as 300,000 rolled over the left digit failed and now just shows one small vertical segment.
In true 406 owner spirit I stuck a piece of masking tape over the display and and wrote a 3 on it.

As much as I love my car, you'd be hard pushed to believe it had only done 100K. Let's just say it has a few battlescars.GingerMagic wrote:Maybe scribble it out and put a ' 1 ' on it when it comes to selling it....
Hypothetical point as I'm keeping this one forever !

63,000 on my 97 2.0l estate. Original owner was an ex-colleague & sold it to me a year ago. Sweet car, except 5th synchro suddenly gave up last week.

Re: HOW MANY MILES HAS YOUR PUG COVERED?
By my reckoning, you can only be doing about 100 miles/week, (which is bordering on sinful).
Just as well you ditched the FAP.

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Re: HOW MANY MILES HAS YOUR PUG COVERED?
Haha - I'm not doing many miles at the moment, agreed
However, from mid-next year I'll be doing about 400 miles/week, hence getting an HDi.
If I were only going to be doing 100 miles/week for the foreseeable future I'd've gone for a V6 manual ES9J4S
