Radiator Fan Cowling

Post by gumby6371 »

I noticed that the cowling for my radiator fans has been damaged by the previous owner, i noticed the cracked bumper when i bought it but didn't see the cowling until i removed the grill. the fans still turn but one drags on the damaged cowling.
I've trawled my local breakers but as yet no joy on a replacement, plenty of single fan types but no double.
My question is this; will a single fan cowling fit in my D8 1997 1.9td GLX or alternatively is anyone breaking a 406 with the right fan assembly in the Shropshire area ?
I have seen a couple on ebay but to be honest the price they want for a second hand cowling is bloody ridiculous !

The one we have removed is in good nick. Let me know if you are interested - will need to be posted unless you can get someone or courier to collect.

sorry, repeating myself as i just responded on your original post, how much would you want for the cowling ? it's fairly big but i bet it's not that heavy so courier shouldn't be that pricey.

Just to be sure - you are looking only for the cowling or complete with both fans?

Basically looks like that - two by setup with fans.

Noticed this too - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT-406-FRONT ... 1162wt_939 - its not like that one in case thats what you are looking for.

That said, perhaps the cowling itself is common - not sure.
