hello people, I'm in deep trouble again!!
Last week, I replaced the off side rear drop link having resorted to hacking off the outer ball joint nut.

This week tacking the near side rear drop link, loosened the inner bolt nut, hacked off the ball joint nut, the outer joint came off easily, undo the inner nut... then, sh*t! The flipping bolt would not come off at all!, It would happily turn to adjust the drop link, no amount of hammering, pushing, swearing and shouting would move it. I've even chiselled in between the washer and the bracket to no avail.

what to do next?

Grind through the whole lot and then get a replacement cam bolt and washer from Peugeot. They're a complete nightmare to remove as I did mine last year and had pretty much the same issues you're having.

When it came to do mine, a ex peugeot mechanic advised me to buy a new bolt before attempting to do the job as they were always absolute pigs, and he advised just to grind through it as was the quickest way of doing the job. Don't remember them being too dear either.

I see. I was starting to think that my 406 doesn't like me. I will get the bolt from peugeot. and get the dremel out again. By the way, does anyone know the part number of the bolt, washer and nuts?

At least the inlet manifold doesn't need to come off to get to spark plugs like on a Mk4 Golf 2.0 GTi

It does if you've got a 406 with a V6...
