Hi there, welcome :cheesy:

That's easy enough - you have a DW10ATED (or RHZ to it's friends).
Changing the cam belt yourself is do-able but it doesn't look like fun. You'll need a set of locking pins for it and the cam belt kit complete with idlers. It also makes sense to change the water pump while you're about it and the crank shaft pulley - these can disintegrate and possible take your engine with them so it's best to change then while you're there. There's a few on here who can help you with it, I've not done not myself though (the last timing belt I did was on a Transit which was a piece of cake)

Thank god for 406oc, I had set my mind on idlers and a waterpump but had no idea about the Crankshaft pulley  , OMG I bought a Cd workshop manual and having looked at that with regards to my new engine knowledge DW10ATED, I think i'll give changing it myself a miss  , the engine has done 145000 and I cant find any cambelt change in the service history  so better change it as a precaution.

Many thanks for your reply 8)

It's always a good plan, I had mine done when I got it despite it having lower miles than recommended - you just don't know where it's been!

Where abouts are you? Maybe someone near you can recommend somewhere that can do it.

I agree no point having a decent car outside if its not self propelled! :| ! i'm in Anglesey, North Wales, the stealer wants £468 not including crankshaft pulley or water pump  i didn't ask if there was Vodka and Tonic on that haha

well thanks to 406oc I had the cam belt changed and had the tensioners, Water pump and Crankshaft pulley changed for £100 plus parts (genuine of course), only to find the water pump was binding and nearly seized, without OC I wouldn't have changed the water pump or Pulley

RESULT, Thanks everyone 8) :cheesy: :D :P
