Friday morning, I was thinking nearly 5k now since Monsieur Le FAP was evicted from the dogmobile & barring one glitch the week after, no problems since

Friday evening: Bong! ANTI POLLUTION FAULT & limp mode
Saturday morning: Bong! AIRBAG FAULT then...Bong! ANTI POLLUTION FAULT & limp mode
Sunday afternoon: Bong! ANTI POLLUTION FAULT & limp mode
At least this time, no airbag fault - probably due to Mrs Doggy moving her seat back to her personal settings,
(max height, fully forward & heating on 365 days a year)
Now it's never done this before - every other time limp mode was gone on the next journey, so I guess it needs diagnosing.
I have complete faith in my local Pug dealer, after all they have been specialising in the marque for several months now.

Chinese fake PP2000 ordered this evening - watch this space......

Possible, I suppose. Too high seems fairly unlikely. Too low I was expecting to see straight away, but didn't. Difficult to see why it should change, unless my leaky flexi section's getting worse. That's possible, but if it's only just reached that point with no detectable noise difference, you'd expect the fault to come & go.
It might be additive counter(s) needing reset....
Either way, I need some facts, otherwise I'll spend ages possibly eliminating all the other potential causes.

While twiddling thumbs waiting for dognostic inteface, I've come across some references to similar problems being due to a faulty MAF sensor.

Struggling to access Servicebox at the mo. - does anyone know if mine is the the kind you can safely clean with some brake cleaner or similar?

I cleaned mine once with cotton buds dipped in petrol

There was a kinda 'bulb' thing like a resister and another strip (a 'hot wire') and both were carefully wiped over to remove some black stuff. The car seemed a bit more perky after but that may be imaginary...

(FWIW, all 2.0 HDi's have this one, whether D8 / D9 / Bosch or Siemens no TD's or petrols use them)
so similar & worth a go at cleaning I reckon
(unfortunately this evening's weather put a stop to that)

When I looked the cheapest was £148, this was £155 at the time, but included the 30-pin pre-OBD2 cable, which the cheaper one didn't and which my help with my bro's D8.
Remains to be seen whether it's any good

Being long of pocket & short of arm, I'll give cleaning it a try, but good to know there is a reasonably priced alternative.

Whipped the MAF off this evening, but it looked clean as a whistle. Slight sticky deposit on what I assumed to be the sensing wires, so cleaned them & the connector pins anyway, but predictably it made no diference.
It could still be faulty, but I'll wait for PP2000's verdict, methinks......
