hello pugs, im thinking of lowering my 406 by 30-40mm,,
do i only need the springs to do it proper or will the shocks have to be replaced as well ?
are there any complications ?

If your only going for a 30-40mm drop then lowering springs should be adaquate. I don't think there should be any complications although I've not lowered a 406.
Only other piece of advice I'd have is to avoid Gmax lowering springs, I've used them in the past and they were terrible.

Springs only as there is very little available for the 406 in the terms of aftermarkets, uprated shocks.
No real complications, other than the fact that teh standard front springs are ridiculously long and you may well end up replacing the droplinks at the same time.

ok thanks for the advice much appreciated,
i have plans for my 406 in the next 3 months,
look at my pictures in the pic section to see how it looks now
i have just bought a spoiler off wilko and currently painting that black,
then the wheels you see in the picture are also gonna be painted black, also ordered sum eyebrows and they are gonna be black
then its being lowered 30-40mm, hope my ideas turn out to look ok, i think they will,
dont wanna mod it to much, i think the black bits with the red will look great,
