Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where I can find the Air con pump on my 2.0Hdi (D9)?

The nice warm weather of the last couple of days has shown my air con not to be working 8) . I can't hear any noise or change in engine note when I turn it on and when it is on auto it certainly isn't getting cold.

Has anyone got any experience of common problems? :?

Thanks

On the left hand side of engine(looking under the bonnet)below the aux belts, mounted on the bottom of the block/sump.
Mine does not really cause any difference in engine note, but i can hear it cycling on & off.
It may just need a re gas if everything else is ok.Unless something else is wrong, which could be £££`s to put right. :)

As above , have it tested for leaks before it is re gassed , common for the
condensor to go around the 7yr mark . Hopefully all will be ok if not as has already
been said can cost a lot of money , cost me in the region of £800 :(

Touch wood, mine is still going strong after 6 & a half years, all original.I do use it all year round,so its lasted well.
My previous Xantia estate had a re gas & condensor soon after i got it,then another re gas 3 years later as it packed up.
If it is just a re gas, prices vary around Bristol, between £60-100.Most places will test the system for free. But i would avoid the fast fit tyre places etc,& take it to a specalist. In my experience, the specalists deal with A/C day in & out,& know so much more about it than a fast fit center,no matter how the price looks. :)
