Siemens injectors

Post by Japster »

What is a sensible price for a siemens injector for the 406 HDI 90 rapier? Need one as my motor has a miss on tick over and the ethos machine's live data points to number 3 injector. The prices new are a joke, and second hand are not much better. Plenty bosh ones about on ebay etc but siemens seem to be rare.

*after half an hour's Googling* I see what you mean! Searching with the Pug part numbers brings up absolutely nothing, none of the usual diesel specialists even list them, that I can find anyway. I'm wondering if they're even made by Siemens. What it really needs is the manufacturer's part number, then things might get a touch easier. They can't just be on PSA cars :?

Btw the German for injector is Einspritzdüse (yes, I've been looking in ebay global :frown: )

If they're expensive / hard to rack down, would it be worth swapping two to see if you move the fault, (after all it could be a wiring / ECU issue).......

No, but we've got self control.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Nah,its the injector the ethos machine measures flow and delivery in the injector and gives you the value on the live data when the engine is running, A price for a new one is 260 quid which i am not paying, but maybe tracked down some today at a local peugeot breakers for 60 quid each. Cheers fellas
