input reg into Euro Car Parts and it says it is a glx DT but I cant see a turbo on board (having a DT 306 as well pretty sure there isnt one )
any thoughts ?

Got a big air pipe running down the middle of the engine bay? If you have, there's a turbo hiding down the back of the block.

Perjot didn't make a N/A 406. Says so on t'internets, thus it must be true.

Mind you they did put the XUD in smaller Pugs without a tubby, so maybe someone fancied doing a custom downgrade?

TBH, I've still not managed to lay eyes on my turbo. I know it's down between the block and the bulkhead somewhere, I just always forget to take me torch when I shimmy under the motor

well if its got a turbo there must be humongous lag , cos my 306 DT is far more speedy

If its got a turbo it must be dead

it will have a turbo even tho it feels like it doesnt lol, its just not that pokey if your used to something better.

A good test to prove there is one, and that its boosting, is to get going in first and second, when in 3rd slow till engine is at about 1000 - 1500 rpm, pin the throttle and hold, and as the revs pass 2k it should go on full boost and will actually pull hard enough that you can feel it, (after a fashion haha) whereas an NA will bog till nearer 3k and the power delivery is not so sudden.

That's it exactly, once it's got past 2k in third it will take off. Not like an Impreza or M3, natch, but you definitely know when the turbo's caught up ^_^
