Hi all,
Was just wondering if it is worth putting a 1998 V6 in my 1997 2.0 Petrol?
i.e is it possible? and if so, any problems?
I can get an almost perfect wreck with only 2 passanger doors dammaged, flat battery and 2 flat front tyres for a reasonable price.
advice well appriciated!

Probably (check the top engine mount), but you'd spend a long time swapping parts over. It'd be much easier to repair the V6 with parts from your car.

Indeed.
You're talking:
Engine
Gearbox
Driveshafts
Engine mounts
Subframe
(probably)Suspension
Radiator
Clutch hydraulics
(probably) Pedals
ECU
Under-bonnet wiring
Exhaust
Steering rack
In fact, pretty much everything north of the bulkhead and then insurance companies will rape you
Put the 2.0 wheels on the V6, swap the doors around or get some new ones, and buy a new battery (the V6 needs a lot of juice)
