today i thought i would use my air con on a trip so sunny southport with my 3 kids,
i notice my car splutters and looses power when it seems the air con pump kicks in ?
any1 any idea why is would do this,

hello all, well summer is here finally,
today i thought i would use my air con on a trip so sunny southport with my 3 kids,
i notice my car splutters and looses power when it seems the air con pump kicks in ?
any1 any idea why is would do this,

There's always a load on the engine when the air con compressor kicks in but it will be considerably higher on hot days when the gas pressure rises to maximum.

Re: air con causing problem
Mine seems to lose a bit of power but doesnt splutter when a/c comes on but I like the comfort to speed ratio leaning more to the comfort side. 
1997 406 2.0 petrol estate lx..D8.............OH dear where does this nut go?
