V6 exhaust on a diesel?

My exhaust is blowing on my hdi
I know part of it is the flexi, but the centre section has a hole in it.

I keep thinking about a stainless system, and there is one on ebay for a V6 coupe

Out of curiosity, would this fit, and would it be suitable i.e bore be big enough etc?

Not really sure I can afford it at mo, but hey, needs be as needs must :cheesy:

The bore should be the same as my 2.1 runs a 2.5" stainless system IIRC. I've got a feeling that the exhuast will be a slightly different shape though, so will probably be a no-go. Pattern parts are pretty cheap from places like GSF with a centre section and back box coming in at about £90 or so.

I'd imagine the V6 exhaust would be a lot bigger than a diesel's - I've not measured mine, but it's about 3-3.5" diameter - absolutely massive compared to the 2.0 turbo's

Turns out the V6 exhaust is a fraction bigger than the diesel, but the OD of the diesel and the ID of the V6 is about the same making mating them up pretty good

Needed to tweak round one of the mounts by 180deg but all in all not bad
