Funnily enough there's someone selling those cables on the For Sale section. No, hold on, that's you. Maybe you should email yourself  Que??

No worries Steve, looks like i've got to get brand new ones, will i have to go to a main dealer? the michanic who is a friend of mine finds it a bit strange that when you engage reverse second and forth your pushing the selector on the gearbox forward and when selecting first, third and fifth your pulling the selector back, so if the cable is stretched why is reverse affected, can you shed any light on what is happening....

On the 406 110 HDI (2.0) the selector stick, complete with box and both cables came out at under £50 from the main stealer - which I think was a bargain.

Fitting was a bit fiddly but straightforward enough.
