Coolant Warning Light???

HI guys, I topped up the coolant tank at the weekend and noticed that the mini plug between the coolant tank and screenwash tank wasn't connected. I re-connected that, and since then, whenever I start up the pug the coolant light comes on intermittently and gradually stays on for longer over the course of about the first 10 mins of driving then dissappears altogether.
The car ( a 1.9 TDI) isn't misbehaving everything is fine, no signs of HGF, no "mayo" on the oil cap, I still have plenty of water in the coolant tank, plus oil in the engine. Is this likely to be a dodgy CTS sensor??? I'm assuming the plug I mentioned was the CTS sensor and was wondering can I simply just disconnect it for a couple of days until I get a new sensor ordered if this is the cause of the warning light?? Or is it something more sinister?
Thanks
