Maybe CLUTCH problem ??

Guys ,, I just bought a pug last nite,, a 406 hdi a 2000 model,,mines is a 90 horse

Today ave done a wee bit runnin around stoppin an startin here an there,, but tonight ma wife drove it only a couple o miles an she said,, on two occasions the clutch pedal when pressed to the floor to change gear ,, the pedal stayed there until she pressed it a few times then it freed itself...

Has anyone had this before on their car ??,, ave never had it happen to me ... Is the Clutch Hydraulic. as am only thinkin it may be down on fluid ??? any answers appreciated.. thanks. afk

Yes it's hydraulic m8, try checking the brake fluid level as it supplies the clutch as well.
If it's ok or even if it needs topping up then try bleeding it should sort it out.
Had to bleed mine last week and usually when your bleeding it the pedal will stay to the floor but you just have to pull it up with your hand, until it's bled then it should be fine. :wink:
Also check for any leaks around the servo and on the slave cylinder on the gearbox, its at the front of the engine on the left hand side of the gearbox, you will see a bleed nipple coming off it check to see if the little locking spring is there that holds the fluid feed pipe into the cylinder it may have snapped or popped off and it could be losing fluid from there as that's what was wrong with mine.
