Imobiliser wiring

Post by rsjon »

I am in the process of swapping injection pumps on my R reg 1.9TD.
I was going to swap the immobiliser module over from the old pump to new.
However, the cover was different on the existing pump with a horrible roll pin. Try as I might I could not get the roll pin out so gently(!) ground the cover off, thereby slicing the module in two. The donor pump is off a Xantia and had 5 shear bolts to contend with but no roll pin. :)
Anyhow, I need to just bypass the module to supply 12v to the stop solenoid. Question is: Which wire should I connect to the solenoid? There is a choice of four: brown, white/red black violet/black.
Hope someone has done this before!
Thanks,
Jon. :)

I am sorry nobody replied; I have, however solved the problem so, for anybody interested:
The violet/black needs connecting to the stop solenoid, all the rest can be cut off.
Car runs perfectly now.

Jon.

I'm sorry too mate but if I don't actually know I don't want to take any silly guesses that might cause more problems (lesson learned a long time back). Glad you got it sorted & thanks for putting it here for future reference!
