Hi, as you know ive got my mot set for thursday.
And i have a lumpy idle, now a member on here (cant remember off by heart what their name was! sorry...) mentioned that when the temp sensor failes (apparently common fault) the idle goes lumpy and emissions go way up...
Which i dont want, seeing how it has to pass an emission test on thursday.
Now, does anyone know if this is the right sensor for my car? And if it is, is it the sensor that might be at fault?
I know some cars have a dash temp sensor and an ecu temp sensor. I dont know if this does or if i have found the right one though!
My engine code is EW10J4 (RFR)
Thanks in advance

Re: Lumpy Idle
Nope thats not the right part matey!! Thats for the older XU engines. I think you're right to change it though as this is reportedly a cause for high emmisions and lumpy idle. The part number you are looking for is 1338 AO and they're not too pricey from the stealer IIRC
