Pollen Filter

Post by john1412 »

desided after servicing the car yesterday i would also change the pollen filter, i went in and bought one for the car, came home took off the cover under the bonnet to change the filter and to my suprise there was no filter there :P, so someone over the last ten years of the cars life removed the filter and didn't replace it, does anyone know of any sprays that i can buy to spray through the fan that will clean out the air system? thanks

Just get under the passenger footwell, lift the soundproofing and you'll see the fan. 3 screws to remove it (and its plug which is a pain to remove) and you can give it and the tunnel up to the pollen filter a good clean.

To get at the vents, the only thing I can think of is you get one of those aerosol aircon cleaner grenades from Halfords. You just run the engine, put the heating on recirc then let the spray off in the back. Get out and leave it running for a while...
