2.1 td.oil coming out of air intake manifold pots

hi.in two weeks i have put 3 litres of oil into engine,but its not burning any oil.so not sure where its going, but oil is coming out of air intake manifold pots,has any one got any ideas.thanks leakyglen

Is the oil level actually going down? Apparently according to my engine and some posts on here it's "normal" for it to need topping up every few hundred miles, nice oily coat along the bottom.

And it's normal for the air intake of any turbo diesel to have a thin coating of oil on the inside.

Is it coming out of those rubber "O" rings at the back of the engine? I had this problem too and had the seals replaced. They are cheap - £13 from memory for all 4.

I changes mine too, there was oil seeping out of them because the rubber had perished.

answered the question i wanted to ask, i have the same problem with mine,

but doesnt seem to cause a problem or leave oil on my drive, one of many little probs on my to do list
