possible turbo failure on hdi 110

hi guys as my other topics stated i dont get any boost the car doesnt rev past 2800rpm and i have changed the solenoids for the turbo and egr valve could it be that my turbo has broken i put my hand down the back of the engine wer teh turbo sits and it was covered in oil

could my vaccum hose be blocked because of the oil or could my throttle or maf sensor be faulty as i have the engine light on and its not going off

well i'd try a new or different maf before you jump into changing a turbo

The good old turbo test:
Start the car, rev the s**t out of it, if the smoke is blue in colour your turbo is done.

The turbo on the HDi is quite often covered in oil but still works perfectly.

Grab the large intercooler hose up top and rev the engine - the hose should expand strongly in your hand (reach over for the throttle pot if your alone).

You really need a diagnostic to see whats going wrong but turbo failure is very very rare (in fact I know of none on here) more common is the INCORRECT replacement of the turbo by poor assumption.

have done what you said turbos fine car starts fine now but doesnt rev over 2800rpm also when i take the key out the engine stays runnin for about 5 seconds its going in for a diagnostics tomorrow
