Hi all - before I manage to grab a Haynes manual from eBay, does anyone know the procedure for changing the fuel filter on a petrol (1.8 16v) 406?
Is there a pressure release service valve anywhere that needs attention, do I have to bleed the fuel system in anyway after fitting the new filter.
Any tips/help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Paul

Re: Changing petrol fuel filter
If you've got one fitted, it'll be under the car by the offside rear wheel and can be changed without jacking the car up. There's a clip on either end which you'll need VERY strong fingers for (push in the white squares) and expect a load of fuel to come spilling out, so get ready to put the new filter on pronto. They're usually held to the car by zip ties as the Peugeot braces are useless.
No need to worry about pressure, just don't have the keys in the ignition

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
