Re: hdi boost
As far as I remember the HDi runs at 1.0 bar or 14.5 PSi maximum.
Sounds like the air line connections aren't right? I'm sure someone said the ideal place is to tee-into the Denso sensor plug on top of the intercooler as this has positive boost directly from the turbo - check this out first though as you don't want to interrupt the pressure at the sensor.
The 306 forum would probably be more helpful with this sort of thing.

Re: hdi boost
I think it's regulated by yon ecu, altering the duty cycle of the boost control solenoid valve.

Re: hdi boost
FWIW the 306 is a HDi 90 with mechanical boost regulation, 110's are electro-mechanical / ecu controlled.

Re: hdi boost
so a manual boost controller would be no good for a hdi 110 then

Re: hdi boost
Don't know for certain, but I reckon it will see it as a boost control fault, then sulk.

This discussion has furthered my distrust of the HDI/ECU control in general and strengthened my resolve to buy, in the future, nothing more sophisticated than a 1.9.

A blast in mine would change your mind, Tom. Even my bro - a confirmed veg oil user - is now building a shed in which to brew bio, so he can have mine when it's up for replacement....swiss wrote:This discussion has furthered my distrust of the HDI/ECU control in general and strengthened my resolve to buy, in the future, nothing more sophisticated than a 1.9.
