Don't think you can bypass it - the pump's electronically controlled.
If your auto-spark can't fix it try a search on internet for Lucas Epic etc.

Yes, you would need pump, ECU and the keys.

Hi,
you could try your local diesel shop for ideas. There must be an override somewhere or they could not test them after repair

well ive a pump ecu and keys if you get really stuck
Re: 2.1td still no starty
Il keep you in mind cheers
Was talking til a guy that has worked on various diesel engines, he said about remove the solenoid from the pump and remove the plunger from it, put it back on less the plunger, then if it goes il just need a new solenoid.

i think if you remove the plunger you will have to stall the car to stop it,so make sure its not jammed up against a wall etcsnakie wrote:Il keep you in mind cheers

The immobaliser is in the ECU not the pump, you can change the pump without haveing to worry about the immobaliser,
The Lucas pumps are not verry good and tend to course problems, but you can change them for a Bosch 1.9 full mechanical pump from an old 405 ect.
