2.1td still no starty

Had the car away to an auto spark, the immobiliser has locked the pump. does anyone now how to bypass this on a 2.1td

Don't think you can bypass it - the pump's electronically controlled.

If your auto-spark can't fix it try a search on internet for Lucas Epic etc.

Just got your pm, what difference would buying your pump do? would it not need unlocking? just dont no much bout this stuff lol
thought bypassing my pump that would cure the problem....
love drifting at the weekend... but nothing betta that jumping in2 my 4o on a monday morning

Yes, you would need pump, ECU and the keys.

Hi,
you could try your local diesel shop for ideas.There must be an override somewhere or they could not test them after repair

Il keep you in mind cheers

Was talking til a guy that has worked on various diesel engines, he said about remove the solenoid from the pump and remove the plunger from it, put it back on less the plunger, then if it goes il just need a new solenoid.

i think if you remove the plunger you will have to stall the car to stop it,so make sure its not jammed up against a wall etc

You should be abloe to put a live straight to the stop solinoid?

The immobaliser is in the ECU not the pump, you can change the pump without haveing to worry about the immobaliser,
The Lucas pumps are not verry good and tend to course problems, but you can change them for a Bosch 1.9 full mechanical pump from an old 405 ect.

OMG!! LOVING MY 4o.... finally got my car sorted, took the car to peugeot 2wks ago got it back today starting on the button.
now for mot an tax.

what was it?
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.
Hmmmm, straight 6 goodness!
