Leaky injector

Having a poke around the engine bay at the weekend and noticed a puddle of fuel around one of the diesel injectors on my D8 1.9, spoke to a mechanic friend of mine and he said it would be more hastle than it's worth to fix and apart from wasting a bit of fuel shouldn't hurt anything, anyone got any thoughts on this ?
Planning on giving it all a good jet wash in preperation for fitting new tensioners so if anyones got an 'easy' fix i might give it a go when it's all de-gunked.

Odds are it's the thin leak off pipes that are dropping fuel onto the injector, dirt cheap from the motor factors and only take 10 minutes to change the lot.

Indeed, I was wondering how the wise man would actually clean an engine bay, considering all the electrickery under there.

I take it you don't recommend jet washing then.
Have been told it would be ok if I left the engine running and being a non HDI there isn't a huge amount of electrics to worry about.
My brother in law is a mechanic at a hauliers yard and he did say I could use the steam cleaner if I can get it there when the boss isn't around
