Got a bit of a weird one here, Y Reg HDi 110, been remapped for the last 2 years.
Occasionally the power seems really flat and there is no boost, not good when you are trying to overtake someone!!
General driving is fine but the problem occasionally kicks in like it did this morning, i dont know if its just me but seems like the warmer the weather the more likely to have a problem!
The confusing factor for me is say im doing 60 in 4th trying to overtake someone and the power is flat, if i keep my foot down it will keep gradually pulling, once the revs hit 2900 its like someone has given it a NOS injection and it goes off like a rocket! Had this in 3rd, 4th and 5th and it will always kick in at 2900 revs.
I'm kinda stumped with this at the moment and hoping someone can give me a little inspiration

Pure guess - 3rd piston on your HP pump cutting in at 2900?
Could possibly be a TPS or MAF problem. (MAF's cleanable).
Otherwise diagnose.....

I'm in Norwich, i've got another MAF somewhere (recently moved) so i'll find and fit it, hadn't thought about the TPS......
