I've tried a quick search but haven't got the definative answers so said I better ask.
What should the running temp of this engine be? I reckon my thermostat is stuck open as my engine temp usually hovers around 70-75 unless in traffic.
Also, what's the interval for the timing belt on these? I'm on 111,000miles now but the car has no history so I'll probably do the belt anyway but i'd like to know when it should have been done.

I fitted a brand new 'stat to mine not so long ago and it still hovers around the same mark; I wouldn't worry.
Cambelt interval is 76K from memory.

Re: 2.0 Turbo questions (petrol)
Temp really stays that low? I'd have assumed 85 90 is what it should be, nearly every other car I've had was about 90 and an open thermostat used to cost me a fortune in petrol in my fiat.
If the cambelts been done i'd proably be safe enough to just give it a visual and see rather than change it, it'd never have made it to 111,000 with the belt being done.
Thanks.
