The other day I got back from a round trip of about 40 miles. I had the air-con on the lowest and the speed of the fan half way. Once I got back home a friend said to me about 15 mins of me parking up 'Paul......think your car has a leak' I looked and sure enough there was a very slight dribble that had formed a little puddle. So under the car I went.......only place I could see the drip from was the Cat! So torch came out and I looked above the Cat to find an open grommet type thing. Well I followed this as best as I could back into the car. It meant me taking off one of the panels next to the gearstick which revealed the same kind of pipe obviously coming from a heater part dropping down through the carpet and ending up in the grommet type thing above the Cat.
What is that pipe and grommet......and why was it leaking?
Many thanks in advance. Paul.
Strange one......any ideas?

Re: Strange one......any ideas?
It's a drain for the condensation that builds up on the A/C rad in the heater box (worm air hits cold rad = condensation),
this is normal and means your A/C is working as it should,
just drive and enjoy the cool A/C
